Software Babelson Audio Daw Regulator

Hi Guys&Gals,

as a developer I was searching an application for my workflow so I made it
But I believe that it's very useful for many audio engineers!

"I can’t say enough good things about this application. The designer was a man I turned to many times in the past for advice and help in a crisis and now that help is available to one and all for a meager fee. Anybody who works with audio will quickly see what I mean. Enjoy :-)"

The Regulator is a tool that deletes DAW caches, plist files and preferences quickly and easily. This information sheet will tell you specifically what Regulator will do for the following applications:
  • Pro Tools 11, or higher
  • Logic Pro 9, or higher
  • Studio One V3/V4
  • Ableton Live 9, or higher
  • Cubase 9, or higher
  • Nuendo 8, or higher
  • REAPER V5,
  • Garageband
  • Waves eMotion LV1, MR, SGStudio, StudioRack
The DAW Regulator will clean all Waves plug-ins caches&Preferences
The Babelson DAW Regulator is a tool that will help you keep your daw software properly maintained. It is also a great tool to help you to perform tasks often required without you having to search for files and folders (caches, preferences and plists) that often need to be deleted and re-set to remediate common issues that you may be having.

I’m with you...

I clicked through to the devs website to see exactly what the app does for my two DAWs of choice and there were no fact sheets... so, barring anymore info, I have to agree that deleting temp files and reverting your daw to its default version is all this app does

Oh come on man! Really?! Really?! Prefs and Cache Delete?

OK, I get it, there's a whole lot of people out there who don't know left from right. But still...

Anyways, good luck! Let us know how does it plays out. Will you?

seriously?
Do you know how much costs licensing fee for developers?
believe me since I left Waves I'm working about 20h each day on my projects so developing software or hardware costs money!
of course DAW Regulator is not for everyone but keep in mind that not everyone is an application expert!

Cheers

Man, I still don't like you. It's not the way to treat people.

I mean, you yourself said you worked for Waves in coding and programming tasks. I get the idea that you want to create something on your own. But this is not right.

I am not an advocate of the poor and underpriviledged but still... Come on! Let me put it this way. You make something that is really needed or that can do the trick and I am buying. Not like this. It's just not right!

Anyway, just my personal opinion. Sorry. Not trying to be smart or anything. Just needed to write this!

Best of luck in your future plugins! Honestly!!!

Great piece of software. Very useful for saving your prefs, io settings, et al from one rig and bringing to another (eg - my home rig and my studio), and restoring prefs to broken or reset systems. Love it.

Interesting to see what Waves' former employees are putting out there.

This is a joke, right?

It’s alright you saying that you’re working 20h days, but honestly, I’d be spending that time developing something for $60 that can’t be found by doing a quick Google search... For free.

I’m sorry, but I can see already that you’re really going to struggle selling this product.

Probably lots of AI in this program, hence the price...

You could have sold it for 9.99 and attract a lot more people to your site and, maybe, buy another plugin, a more expensive one.

But no. $60 to delete preferences. Good luck, but I think it's the wrong strategy.

Pricing issues aside, shouldn't this app be called De-Regulator? I mean, it's not "regulating" anything, quite the contrary in fact?

I wonder if waves let them go for pitching these kinda ideas.

Tunca? Sorry for the joke!

Apart from the joke, I think the plugin idea is cool, just the price that, in my opinion, is a little too much.

Hello all,

For the insanely low price of $49, I am selling this modification that makes it easier to find the "PLAY" button in your favorite DAW! Red and yellow for high visibility! No more fumbling around in options menus or having to google "where is the play button." Please PM me for bulk licensing.

This went rather sad quickly. And not because of anything the OP said.
Give the guy a break.

Hint: another way would be to advise the man to lower his price.
But giving him the typical 2006 GS treatment is uncalled for.
And lame.

In all fairness, I think the price has been mentioned once or twice:

I know it's really hard to put a price on your time and effort, but $60 does seem a little unrealistic. There are devs out there putting awesome plugins out for free (think Ignite Audio and Mercuriall to name but two).
