15/ Not mentioned in Xils newsletter : The one window Preset Manager has been polished and enhanced

Tried several browsers (mainly Firefox v65 & Safari), and requesting the time limited demo for iLok simply will not take. All ad blockers/tracking blockers disabled.

No matter how carefully I exactly copy the letters/numbers in captcha image...it reloads another captcha image instead of ever accepting form :(

Version 1.5.1 released yesterday (Quick fix. Beta February 5th):

* Audio Unit StiXMulti: Loud noise when launching a lot of voices has been fixed
* Drag'n Drop pattern on Midi tracks: fixed for all system/daw combos.
* You can export the whole 'song' as well with drag'n'drop ( In StiX, a song is a chain of patterns)

How long is that discount price going to last?

I'm really craving the full version of this thing but I didn't have the funds when there was the discount for Stix CM owners. Any chance of that coming back at any point by the way?

Not yet specific tutorials for versions 1.5 but I'll do some in the next weeks (And I'm currently making one for the new preset manager in StiX 1.5)

Otherwise I made a video recently showing how to 'generate 50 new, original drumkits with StiX in 5mn'. Maybe you missed this feature. It was already there since v1.0, but a lot of people weren't aware of it.

StiX v1.5.1c, soon to be released, will also include a lot of new content, wich took me lot more work/time than expected, and this slowed down the video making. Sorry for that.

Meanwhile, if you have some specific questions about 1.5 new features (list is somewhere above) I'll be glad to answer here.

OK - good to know.
BTW, does the StiX play GM grooves dragged/dropped in to the StiX sequencer?

Not in this direction atm. You can drag'n'drop patterns to daw, and you can also control other software drum modules or hardware synths and drum machines live by using StiX Midi Out feature. So you can blend the sounds of an Elektron Rytm and StiX in a live session for example

Some people who tried the Full Featured/Time limited demo version reported that StiX wasn't visible in Logic after install.

Solution is very simple : You'll sometimes need to reboot ONCE so that StiX can be seen properly by the system and by Logic.

I made a little video showing that saving hundreds and hundrreds of patterns as 'presets' was indeed usefull. Made a standard beat quickly then used the Preset Manager window in Pattern mode to find some BREAK patterns and in 2 minutes I was able to find a handfull of 'working' ones. It's amazing to see that you can use a break tagged with a different genre, and also sometimes wich was programmed for a largely different tempo, and it can work with a totally different beat.

To a certain extent it also works to find a suitable Bridge or variation for a beat youjust created.
