Thumbs up Wire Grind Updates Rhyming Dictionary

Wire Grind has made many enhancements to its rhyming dictionary. A new feature allowing multi-word input has been added. Additionally, major improvements have been made to word quality, multi-syllabic rhyming, and rhyme sorting.

Multi-word input makes it possible to find additional multi-syllabic rhymes. For example, querying "some rain" shows "sustain" at the top of the results list. In contrast, querying "rain" does not. This feature works best when there are fewer syllables in the final word.

Search results place rhymes into multiple groups. The groups are then sorted from strong and multi-syllabic to weak and single-syllabic. For example, a search on "hippopotamus" produces results with multiple word groups. The word "anonymous" is in a higher level group while the word "famous" is in a lower level group. This feature makes it possible to provide large numbers of rhymes while, at the same time, not overwhelming visitors with numerous weak rhymes.

The rhyming dictionary can be found at the following link: www.wiregrind.com/rhyming-dictionary/

Launched in 2017, Wire Grind's rhyming dictionary has a navigable user interface and hyper-linked search results. Along with suggested search words, songwriters can productively iterate through many potential rhymes. There are three rhymes types: perfect, half, and consonant. There is also an option for rhyming the beginnings of words instead of the endings.
