an indie video game developer (Mommy's Best Games), I have been working with for three years now, has been contracted by Croteam, developer of the cult FPS "Serious Sam", to make an 2D version of the game, for purposes of promoting the latest Serious Sam installment, "Serious Sam BFE".
We have been working on the game for several months now, and it finally hit the digital shelves yesterday. It has pumping, hard rocking, guitar-shredding tunes, but also tense, atmospheric underscores.
The game "Serious Sam: Double D" is available on all major PC games download sites, such as Steam, Get Games, Direct 2 Drive, etc; and you can find more info @ MBG's Serious Sam Double D site .
Congratulations, that's a pretty nice credit indeed! I probably won't find the time to check out the game but the original Serious Sam was a hilarious FPS....I can imagine it being pretty fun to work on a title of that series ;-)
What platforms is it on? I'd be up for trying it out if it's for X-Box
Well, the game has been finally ported to Xbox and released on Xbox Live Arcade on February 20th. Developed by Mommy's Best Games and published by Devolver Digital and Mastertronic. The Xbox version includes more levels, more features, co-op play, etc. The XBLA version is called Serious Sam Double D XXL.
The soundtrack is coming to iTunes, Spotify and Xbox Music in a day or two!
