Music Composition for Video Game

I've been asked to compose two pieces of music (2 mins. long each) along with the sound design for a Facebook-based video game.

I know what my rates are for the sound design, but would anyone have any advice related to charging for the music composition?

Also, do royalty fees apply to this application of my music?

Thanks in advance for any input.

There will be NO royalties.

I would charge two day rates. It's common for film composers to use two-minutes of finished music as a daily goal. John Williams is qutoed as saying something like that and I've heard it from others. The sound design would be additional days.

Congratulations on the gig!.... but good luck getting paid enough. These tend to be really low budgets from what I've seen.

The 2 minutes per day guideline makes a lot of sense when you think about it.

Thanks for the advice. That's really helpful.
