Some really inspiring places to see! The right balance between ergonomics and acoustics is sometimes hard to find.

Really nice man! I love the slimed down, but high end selection of gear.

Is that a 4k Dell monitor you're using for your main screen? I ask as that looks like a lot of tracks visible at one time on your Cubase there.. I've been considering picking one up. Which model is that?

Thanks! It's an ASUS.

Love your setup! Can you share how is your keyboard drawer made underneath your desktop? I was trying to find a solution for my 88 keys keyboard. Thanks.

It's not pretty but it works! (For some reason GS rotated the second picture 90 degrees, not sure what's up with that)

That’s pretty neat! Thanks for sharing. I wonder does this tray can hold up my heavy Korg triton ProX keyboard? It’s around 25kg.

For sure. It held my Kronos 88 without a problem, and I sometimes dig into the keys really heavily!

Here is where I work at my music:

Composers - Show us your studio!-img_20151219_103925.jpg

I wouldn't call it studio as I am working in the box mostly. All I need is my piano, a keyboard, the computer, and my trusty speakers.

ME Geithan RL 906 monitors (outside ones which are distinctive, don't know what the inside ones are)

Served/Serve the German professional broadcast market extensively. Unfortunately (if you are like I) no US distributor. I've talked to the company though and they are willing to deal directly with individual customers for sales but there's nowhere to demo them. I've now demoed them in the UK.

In a proper environment? And what did you think?

Very serious speakers (in the way Germans have always spec'd things like for mics from Neumann/Gefell or the way BBC had requirements to compete for their sales.) I had arranged three of their 3-ways in a proper control room (944K, 934K, 922K; 8", 10", 12") since those are the ones I've considered. All high output, low distortion, full frequency speakers with no sense of driver compression. Only speakers in this area of the market doing concentric/near concentric full speakers and the advantage of concentric design is apparent at crossover frequencies. The passive method of doing cardioid bass works but the control room they were in didn't really need it. The cardioid bass and the lightness for their size (with no cabinet resonances) were bonuses that I was looking for as I was looking for easily transportable full-frequency range/ full-dynamic range speakers that could deal with unknown rooms. The 922K1 is high on my shopping list (K1 model splits amp from drivers) at 55 lbs speaker box and 26 lbs amp box (which makes it moveable by 1 person) and plays in the same league as my 150 lbs/speaker main setup (ATC).

Little like finding a unicorn. Speakers played in the same quality/ability as the midrange professional ATC and PMC models (which is about the competing product by driver size and price in the UK.) Worth arranging a listening if you go overseas.

Well, then that's my studio! pentagon is right, the speakers are Geithain RL906 (The inner ones are Blue Sky eXo2's, by the way - my set of second monitors). I agree with everything pentagon wrote, the Geithain's are fantastic speakers. Love mine.

Pardon me Goodkeys, but where might I find a desk like that? It seems perfect for pencil & paper type composing and notation software, yes?

It is indeed. The great thing about the concept is that it is the desk surface that slides, not a keyboard drawer. That way you never have to change your seating position and are always at the right distance from your speakers. It is really great for paper and pencil composing.
Nick Batzdorf had my desk built. He builds them to spec, so everything is customizable:

Composers Desk | VI-CONTROL

He is also very friendly and forthcoming with tipps and informations if you want to built your own/have your own carpenter build one for you.

Yesterday? My guess would be sometime between 1988-1992. Am I close?
