Unknown Problem With CPU usage.

Hi everyone, I am new here and new to forums really.. but after my most recent upgrades I am left puzzled and slightly annoyed to say the least.

Until recently I have been using Ableton 9 (32bit) on my home computer;

AMD A8 Quad Core 3.2GHz
6GB RAM @ 1600MHz
Nvidia GT705 2GB
..nothing special.. with the audio out going straight into my Yamaha HS5's.

I managed with this to be able to have upwards of 50 channels on Ableton with a very very large amount of VSTs running.

I decided to flash a bit of cash and treat myself to a new pc build and an audio interface.

Asrock 990FX Extreme motherboard
AMD FX6300 Black Edition (3.5GHz 6 core)
8GB Corsair Vengeance RAM (1600)
4GB Nvidia GT730
And an Akai EIE Pro.

The new build is fantastic but when I get onto Ableton, it all goes wrong.. I am somehow using 60% of my cpu with about 8 Channels and maybe 2 VSTs per channel.. and the cpu meter is jumping about all over.. I really can't get my head round what the problem is.. sorry for the long post but can anyone offer any assistance?

Thanks in advance,
Az

Check the audio options make sure it's set to using ASIO and try the buffer set to higher.
