BPM Detection Plug-In for pro tools

Does Anybody is making a plugin that could detect the BPM of an external BPM track?

Your best bet would be recording a little sample of the external track and using Beat Detective to figure out the tempo.

Or select the bpm number inside the transport and tap
the letter "t" (in time w/ the beat obviously)

The Thing is that I'm in a live setup using the Pro Tools as a mixer, so I can't use the "t" as i do normally, because it's always moving the timeline when it's set on a new tempo. And i don't want to use something external, since it's what i'm doing right now.
The thing is that if a plugin existed that could detect the BPM while it's inserted on the click track it would be way quicker to me and way more precise!

It should work on Pro Tools. Protools hosts RTAS plugins. Try downloading the RTAS demo (for Blue Cat's PatchWork) and see if you like it.

Look up MixMeister BPM Analyzer which is a stand alone app and free. Just drag and drop the song in and it will spit back a BPM. It's really accurate too. Its what I use.

I suppose that it would not be that hard for a plugins developer to create that. Serato and all the dj software does live. The Big thing for me is that it's happening live by itself, I can't drag a song in it or whatever since i use pro tools as a console.
And it could be integrated in the live console too.
