Where do I install VI libraries? Virtual Instrument Plugins

Where do I install VI libraries?

I have Kontakt and Omnishpere.

I want to install Kontakt samples onto their own dedicated drive.

But with Omnisphere, where do I install its sound library...onto the OS system drive itself or onto another dedicated drive (separate to the Kontakt sample drive)?

you can put the STEAM folder where you want when you open omnisphere gonna ask for the STEAM folder location to recreate in your OS partition a shortcut to that location !

I don't understand.

Does that mean you're saying I should add my Omnisphere sounds to my OS drive?

He is saying that you can move your steam folder to any drive you want and omnisphere will ask you where is the steam folder.

I suggest you to put it on your VI on drive other than the OS drive. I dont think you need a 3rd drive. Just put it on your kontakt libraries drive. It should be ok

You can install the Omnisphere samples to their own separate drive, or to the same separate drive that your Kontakt samples are on, assuming you have enough room left over.

No matter what the VSTi is, I always put it's 'samples content' onto a separate physical hard drive.

As for the VSTi program itself, I always put on my OS hard drive. I've heard of some installing their VSTi programs on HDD's other than the OS drive, but many others have claimed that doing so may be asking for trouble, so I've never done that myself.

My main DAW has (3) physical HDD's
HDD #1 OS/Programs (including VSTi's)
HDD #2 Projects & all recorded audio
HDD #3 All Samples for VSTi's

I have a dedicated VSTi machine as well, just (2) HDD's as I don't need a 3rd audio HDD in it.
