Personally I wish software had been available on subscription from day one when I started with digital 17 years ago.

I'vs lost thousands of pounds on useless out of date digital tools but more painfully about £250,000+ in Capital opportunity cost!!

Just flipping scary.

Subscription is a big win for the user when you drill down into the mechanics of money and the leverage of being a subscription customer.

For me the new model has come too late I'm afraid.

If anything, their wish to sell will only speed up the appearance of their plugs on the UA framework imo.

Since we don't even know who's bidding on TC it's tough to make predictions of what the new owner's strategy will be. They might like the idea of an UAD dongle for their plugins, they might not. They might even (stupidly IMHO) abandon plugins altogether. Who can know?

A few engineers have started unofficially supporting Powercore for the latest Mac/PC OS.

Maybe this has been an upside

Any news UAudio ?
It's been 19 months since you had a press release regarding this !
Is it taking this long to convert a digital plugin to another digital plugin ?

Thanks for sharing Dan,

And the only reason why I would tie myself with a DSP solution and a UAD is gone forever.

Now I can only hope they release MD3 and VSS3 as Native plugins...

So why don't we crowd source it. I have already thrown my jubilant thoughts behind the bluecat plugin infrastructure.

It is an enabling product worthy of successful use case examples.

Let's reconstruct VSS3 and make it free.

I am on board with the teaching element. We need implementors looking to tweak and deliver. No more moaning! Reverbs of this caliber can easily be made available for free if we can get a small community behind it.

Go to the reverb subculture forum and start the discussion.

The TC 2290 DT has been released a couple of months ago. Wouldn´t be surprised if it makes is on UAD 2 sooner or later.

VSS3 AAX -- $200
Reverb 4000 -- ~$1000 used

Those two options will get you where you want to be. Even if UAD does release a TC verb, it will be $250-$300.

Buy a used Reverb 4000 and don't look back.

I know, it's not as good as having as many VSS3s in a session as we want, but it is a great reverb with the same vibe.
