BAD Latency Using Cubase Multiband Compressor

Hello all

First of all i want to say that i cannot log-in to Steinberg forums at the moment for some inexplicable reason, (to do with my password?).

Maybe someone here can help.

Basically, i have just installed cubase 7 tonight and am getting serious latency when i select the default Multiband Compressor.
I know i have a basic Saffire 6 USB audio interface, but never encountered this problem before, and this is the ONLY processor that causes serious latency.

I am curious iff this type of effect can strain the system more than others?

I have not upgraded to latest version because i like to sort out issues first so i know where to isolate problems

Cheers dan

It seems you have discovered the answer is YES.
don't use it while tracking.

Thanks! learnt something there - will avoid when tracking.

Overall Cubase 7 effects/processors sound really impressive to my ears
