Thunderbolt 1 daisy chain limitations?

Hi

i havent seen this yet. on thunderbolt 1, how many devices can be daisy chained. i figured its an important point since thats the new mac way of life

i just bought a new Imac Haswell and so far, via thunderbolt 1 i have

1 apple monitor
2 x 2 TB thunderbolt WD Hard drives

possibly need to add in the future

1 magma Chasis TB for UAD cards
1 Apogee Thunderbridge if i expand my 2x6 card and add 16x16

i thought i read somewhere its 36 devices? can anyone confirm though

thanks

6 devices per port. The new mac pro has 6 ports - 36 total thunderbolt devices.

thanks all

i would like to add i love TB! the cable thing is not an issue at all for me

i daisy chained to external HDs vis a 1 foot thunderbolt cable, nice and neat to the new imac and flawless

i love being able to easily access my stuff and literally just unplug a cable vs disconnecting everything and oeping my old mac pro and having to dig around and pull out drives and do all of that nonsense

i have 2 TB drives and USB3 drive and the 3TB wirless apple thing all running smooth as silk

love love love the new TB setup

TB does not have unlimited bandwidth. With the current incarnation, after you've connected two large displays, it's game over.

Well I forgot to mention I have the Mac 27 inch second monitor here as well via TB on the other iMac TB port

This for me is way better than my Mac Pro setup was

I plan on adding another TB HD and possibly getting into the UAD stuff if they release a TB enclosure satellite

I have had no issues and it's very fast and clean and neat
