Is it safe to unplug a USB audio interface

hi dumb question i just got a focusrite scarlett 2i2 audio interface just wondering is it safe to unplug it from the laptop or do you keep it turned on all the time ?.
i turn off my monitors first then unplug the usb audio interface form the laptop

Unplugging is the same as turning the computer off, unless Focusrite has a particularly bad implementation. It's of course a bad idea to unplug while there are applications that are actually using the interface. Some may not recover and crash.

It's not like firewire.

Unplugging a USB interface isnt an issue. Just dont do it while its being used.. sounds like not so much of a good idea.
