latency - mbox2, 002 etc

i've previously used an m-audio delta card and had no issuses with latency (easy getting a balance with the software and windows mix levels etc) and have been able to put up with the mbox2 latency but am still amazed at how bad (for want of a better word) it is! is the 002 or 002 console etc any better than the mbox 2?

the 002 gives you low latency mode, which just like the delta cards stays in the card its self so you dont get latency. outside of ProTools you still have to deal with latency, just as you do when running any software processing, aslong as you use the ASIO driver you can set it low enough not to be a big issue.

You can also lower the buffer size to 64-128 samples as well. In playback settings or something.
