Using Multiple Interfaces

I would like to use 2 Firefaces in conjunction so that I am not limited to 8 tracks at once while recording, and to be able to use my hardware effects without constant re-patching. I am using Cubase 3. How do I do this?

I attempted going SPDIF OUT on one of the units to SPDIF IN on the other, which seemed to have them linked somehow in the "Fireface settings" application; however, in Cubase it didnt seem to allow me to configure the input and output busses for both units; I had to either select one or the other.

Anyhow - Im really clumsy when it comes to stuff like this, especially computer-related. Any help would be appreciated, even if its talking me through it in a dumbed down manner.

It should work. Did you try resetting the I/O in the device setup section in cubase?
