Logic question. re colorized takes

I am perplexed by take colorization... I have checked off the box in projects settings/REcording to autocolorize takes and it doesnt happen.. It would really help to keep track of what I am doing in quick swipe comping.

What am I doing wrong?

It works fine in 9.1.6 here, but remember that Auto-colorize Takes isn't a global preference, it's something you for some reason have to set for each individual project. Could that be the problem?

Yes I realize it's project specific.. I have the box checked in project settings..

It should work in that it would colorize each take and then when I make a comp the different colors from each take would be visible in the comp..

Try to trash the pref, maybe ?

edit. btw, you're right

So here is what I found,,

Autocolorize only seems to work if I set up a loop and let it run without interuption..

If I stop recording at the end of a take and hit return and start again it defaults to the standard blue color.

Anyone know of a way to have it work without looping?? Otherwise I guess I have to manually color each take.. Which I can do also I suppose.

it would be better if it just colorized all takes in a folder no matter what
