Using UV22HR on my Rosetta 800...

...with no external recording device. No chance, huh?

I generally record back into a stereo pair in Pro Tools and dither there. But I hear the UV22HR is nice and I wanna try it.

I'm still trying to get my head around this; is there something like SX3 that allows inputs with different bit-rates?

I'd get the X-Firewire card if so.

I was going to say that dont you just set the Rosetta to 16bit and record the output. If you're saying Pro Tools cant handle multiple bit depths in the same project then.. I'm stumped.

Maybe get the demo of Samplitude or something..

..

With SX3 I would set up 2 stereo tracks in a project, 1 contains my 24bit mix. Set the project bit depth to 16bit and set the Rosetta to 16bit, Press PLay and record the output back to other stereo track which is now a dithered 16bit mix with UV22HR.

Of course SX3 uses the UV22HR dither so I wouldnt do this at all...
