MAC G5 PCI Express issues....

Just giving peeps the heads up, cuase I kinda fell in this situation... Bought a new G5 2ghz dual core.. and noticed it has PCI express and not PCI-x or reg pci.... so basically no Pci cards work for this thing.. and some cards wont be out yet according to m-audio/Avid. Anywas so any looking into getting a g5 careful to see whut pci losts you getting

Also to keep in mind, for users that do sessions between 48k - 192k, and if you have a Pro Tools HD accel system with the 32-bit expansion chassis, you can't have playback voices set to 96 voices/6DSP... it will cause CRASHES!!!! stupid huh...
[digidesign recommends keeping it at or below 80voices/5DSP]

The Apogee Symphony card looks promising, but only if you already have or were intending to get Apogee converters...
