Will Sonar 5 work on Macbook Pro?

I'm interested in getting a good laptop as a desktop replacement and was thinking of getting a Macbook Pro with a 17" display seeing as it will run Windows XP. At the moment I'm using a desktop PC but I will be gigging between Australia, mainland Europe and the UK so I need a portable solution and to be able to run my pc software and Sonar 5 is my main music software. I'm also running Kontact 2 and Sibeilius.

Can I asume that if Windows XP works then PC native software will work?

Don't have a definitive answer for you but I'm curious, as well...

Anyone have an answer out there?

Here for the gear

I have Sonar 4 on my Macbook Pro and it works fine.I would assume Sonar 5 works also.
As long as you have Win XP SP2(not upgrade) your good.

As a good friend pointed out - the new Mactel's are ESSENTIALLY - souped-up PC's that can run OSX.

It is true - Windows on a MacBook Pro runs just as good/bad as on any other PC.

BootCamp is not virtualization - it is native.

Thanks for the replies guys.

The way I see it is that if the Macbook pro is a standardised pc built by a company with a flair design and the end user. It's also a good opportunity to get into the mac os side of things too.
