I am sorry to say, that Waves plugins are not supported in VE Pro - we plan to introduce Waveshell support in one of the next updates, so it is on our developers ToDo list, but I have to admit it is not top priority...
And that's exactly why I'm not touching any Waves plug until they lose the shell and become native 64-bit. I don't care how good they are. I'm running a super-smooth rig and I don't want to needlessly complicate my studio life. Besides, VEP is the backbone of my system.
I just installed the latest version of VSL Ensemble Pro 5, and was able to instantiate Waves 7 and 8 shell DLL under the 32 bit version of the Ensemble server only. BUT - even though the plugins now show up, I can't get them to work. It keeps saying that there is a channel association problem. I've tried assigning any and all possible combinations to the stereo effects channel, nothing works. Not for the compressors, not for the reverbs or anything else.
I've tried using Jbridge, but then the Ensemble says the architechture is not recognized. I tried using the shell2vst app, but then the applications don't show up under either of the 32/64 servers. I'm completely at a loss here and I need to offload a ton of processing from my main DAW off to the secondary computer.
Any insight would be appreciated. The Ensemble Pro and Waves still don't work together for me.
