What's a good latency for a DAW?

Hi, with decent Presonus drivers and OS with necessary services the latency value should be around 6 ms.

If you're not playing a VSTi through it, or recording, then there is no need at all to set low latencies as this stresses the CPU for no gain.
I mix at a buffer size of 1024 samples (23ms latency) and it is absolutely fine.

Tracking is another matter though.....usually at around 3ms.
