Digidesign Digi 002 WTF is it?

WTF is the Digidesign Digi 002???
Is it a protools interface?

I looked for an hour for a driver but it appears its just a protools mixer?

WTF really is the 002?

its a pro tools le firewire interface. there were two versions: rackmount and mixer. had 18 inputs: 4 pres, 4 line, 8 adat, and 2 spdif. i still have mine connected to a symphony i/o. black lion does modifications to them that make them comparable to the avid hd interfaces by upgrading the pres, clock and converters.

i think they are part of a combined interface driver download on avid's website

You have to install the drivers. Installing LE 7 is optional.

It has ASIO drivers for Cubase, but they might have to be downloaded seperately(I'm not sure if they come with ASIO). I don't think they come with WDM drivers for Win Amp and Web stuff, but I could be wrong. If not you'll have to use your on board sound for that.

Check the driver download page and see what they have.

LE 7 is not compatible with windows 7. You will need to be on 8, or preferably 9.

But if you just want to use it with Cubase you can download the driver by itself.
