Plugin Compatability.

I am going to be "opening" a small overdub/mixing room to work on projects of my own, and clients.

At home i have a mac mini with an intel prossesor and PT8 with os 10.6.8

At the studio i will have an older g5 macpro, PT7.. with 10.4 os (i think, i'll have to double check, the machine belongs to the other guy i'll be working with)

the question is, if i buy waves SSL eq/comp and slate drums, will both of these work on both computers.

in other words, i'll be bringing my iloc with me back and forth, will the software work on both systems? or are their different CPU's and OS versions going to create a problem?

The different systems shouldn't cause you any problems with the plugs.

So different MAC OS versions or PT versions dont require different software versions of waves plugins?

Sorry for the need for a confirmed answer.

Check with both Waves and Slate if 10.4 is supported. I don't think it is with Waves 8, possibly not with the slate instrument player.

If you can upgrade the studio rig to Leopard and 7.4.2 (which is just getting hold of leopard really, 7.4 will be a free update) you should be fine.
