Can't stand this sale and i was taken by Lunchpail..
Wooow, it's so gluey and punchy! No words to describe..
And that 50/50 half FB half FF mode is just insane! Not possible in hardware.
N3 skins able switching between modes with no loosing knobs configuration is fantastic, only CW has it.
And the "Select" instance with interpolated knee super useful to finetune, again not presented in HW.
Surely will use it on drums, bass, vocals, guitars, and i love it's punch at the master bus parallel, low ratios.
UPD: I really love it's color, how it shines in upper mids. Classy AP1 sound.
UPD2: And it's stereo-pair sampled!)

The Sontec 432? I’m super excited about that. I always mix through an ‘air’ wide bell boost, current favourites include, Azure HQ, Magenta and Bronze. I’m hoping the Sontec will join their ranks. Never used the hardware but from everything I’ve read and heard it’s a killer clean boost, smooth and sweet and super rare!!!

Any eta for TimP's RA6? am I correct in thinking RA6 is based on tha same hardware model (obviously not the same unit) as AA's El Rey?

Hmmm,

Ok well, first off I can't see how el ray is a B*6a, I asked acustica to confirm this.
A B*6a has a limiting ratio and dual release. El ray appears to have a super soft knee Low ratio (ratio increases on compression amount) a bit like a TLA. Acustica said It's not a R*A so i'm very confused here as to where the B*6a came from. Obviously as I'm doing a 6a emulation I was concerned that everyone would wonder why the sound so different. There is a manual here to show the ratio-http://www.ba6a.com/BA6A/VINTAGE_AUDIO_TECHNICAL_SUPPORT/RCA%20%20BA-6A%20Compressor%20-%202%20.pdf

Hmmm.. I remember seeing a post where they were reluctant to say it was a 6a because Greg Wells customized the plugin so it’s not a true replica... I guess we can say it’s a digitally modded one? And that’s why they won’t say its R*A? I don’t know. Lol.

There will be a wait now..alot of compressors are getting fine tuned

anyway i'm just putting out new opto 3a to the beta's. A lot of testers are saying the've not heard anything like this before, so I hope if you own this already it will be a nice thing to fill in the time!

Opto 3a will warrant a v3 name as so many upgrades in the template have been made.

Great news!
Will the V3 version of Opto 3A have the preamp in the same instance as the comp? This would be very comfortable.

Unfortunately the problem with the meters in N4 has not been solved yet: it's still there in the latest N4. And (in my system) meters in Opto 3A and many other nebula compressors are jumpy and weird. Acustica aknowledges the problem, but the solution delays...

Yeah skipping El Rey and waiting for Tim’s version instead, guys a master

Would love to see more guitar pedals done or are these not great sellers? So many great pedal manufacturers out there like Death By Audio and JHS, would be so cool to capture some of these for mixing with.

The meters are quite frustrating, I agree! I also wish instances of Nebula programs could be combined (Compressor and preamp for example).

I would definitely use TimPs programs a lot more if these issues were focused on. I know he doesn’t have control over it unfortunately.
