Is there in the Nebula world an emulation of the Chandler Zener ?
Thanks

AlexB has Germanium with Zener curve if that helps. This library is more for adding Chandler color, its good for mild compression.

I'm tuned, now just waiting...

The free filter is a great idea.

Nebula - SoundDrops - Henry-Q - Acustica Audio

When can we expect a release? after Mantis... I'm looking forward to this.

I'd say MANTIS is in the top of 'transparent compressors'.

Hi. Do we have to uninstall N4 player for installing N4?

No it actually seamlessly replaces all instances of N4 Player with the full version.

I purchased Tim P´s compressors and copied the files into the correct directories, but they do not appear in N4.

Can anybody help me?

Solved! Used N4Player

From Tim P website:
"FAQ and Install
Please note that these libraries work with n3 and n4 not n4 player. Side chain version of compressors only work in N4."

How did you manage to run them on N4 Player??

I think he meant, he solved the problem which was the fact that he was using the N4 player which can’t play N3 libs.

Quick question for N4 users, is the CPU usage any better than N3, particularly with TimP compressors?

Does anyone know what hardware it's based on and how it compares to other Acqua compressors? I see no info on Violet under either the Nebula or the Acqua page on the AA site.
ho hum the new issue's out now so does that mean we can't get it unless we can guess the filesilo 'missing words' that imply ownership of issue 260?

Seems like a soft sell for a plugin that might see so much active duty

I purchased most of Tim P's compressors and much prefer them to most acqua comps. so my question is: do you think the nebula eq libraries also are ahead of the acqua eqs? I know it is all subjectiv, just your opinion...

I quote your question and hope the compressor gurus here (like Bmanic and Will the Weirdo) will express their point of view, too.
My not so technical ears are telling me that the new compressors in Magenta are very very good, both in tone and in action, and Violet, Coral and Cobalt have always been great compressors for buses and glue. But, perhaps, there is still something more accurate in the action of Timp Opto3A and Sum100A. Today the gap is greatly reduced, btw (imho).

I have the same view of the compressors as you, but the EQ's in Nebula are far better than the Acqua's. There is more life to the sonics of Neb EQ's than Acqua's. There is a kind of glassiness to Acqua eq's and I use them only for tweeking or backup on the busses, same with comps.

Add to that the diversity of Nerbula ie:- mixing of libraries to get the sound you want on your track! No contest.

my view is that acquas are at least on par on the eq side for quiet some time, not from the beginning though.
the compressors are improving and the latest acquas are on nebula level imo.
