Quick Midi track question

Quick Midi track question

I set-up a cheesy drum beat for a demo using Xpand2! in PT9. I want to bus just the snare to an instrument (or aux) track with Trigger on it (so I can use a better sounding snare). In Xpand2! each piece of the kit is broken into midi channels (options are 1-4). They are by default all sending out of midi channel 1. I change the output of the xpands snare track to midi channel 2, but then I don't see any 'midi channels' listed as an input option on the "instrument track" or "aux tracks".

Any idea how to patch this like I'm envisioning?

thanks in advance!

Quick Midi track question

You can't output midi from The midi in xpand is the midi channel input, not output.

You can either duplicate the midi on your drum track, delete all but the snare, and route to your instrument (on an aux track, or copy the midi onto an instrument track), or solo the snare, print as audio and use that to trigger the audio.

Thanks for the help! I guess I'll just print the **** snare and Trigger it
