audio file from one project shows up in another.

I am just getting acquainted with Logic Pro 8, and have run into an issue I can't resolve with the manual. I have an audio file that obviously has the same name in two seperate projects, and a guitar track from project A is now showing up on a vocal track on project B. I don't know how to replace the vocal track on Project B now, and am worried about losing the gtr track on project A. It would seem this is a fairly common problem, and I'm sure that I should be naming files as I go, but am not sure of the most efficient way to do this. Any help would be appreciated!
