The Clavia backpacks for the Nord Modular (original and G2) are very nice.
The original nord mod backpack is the perfect size for my portable kit:

metric halo 2882, macbook pro 15, power adapter
headphones, a manual or small book & mp3player or phone

Note, there is no excess carry capacity beyond what I've listed above.

The G2 version is bigger and If I owned a ULN-8 and 17" laptop then I'd go with it:

Nord GBG2 Nord Logo Gig Bag GBG2 B&H Photo Video

The only thing I didn't like about this design was the zipper. It zipped down when you were wearing it, meaning if a thief came up behind you he could unzip the pocket just slightly and let the goods fall out... Would have been a better design the other way around.

They come up on eBay occasionally for ~ $50-60 usd.

I personally use a crumpler bag. Expensive but very high quality. The one I've got is discontinued, but to give you an idea of what you can fit in the really big ones:

13" MBP
MH ULN-2
NI Maschine controller
NI Kore controller
M-Audio Oxygen 25-key controller
Headphones
Cables, mouse, etc.

It was a tight fit, but I was able to pack it all into it at the same time... (seriously!!!)

If you get an Eastpak like this one:

Be sure to fold the straps up at the ends and sew/superglue them there. Many a time have my straps come sliding right out of there and once is enough to put a dent in your 9 day old MacBook Pro. Trust me heh

I totally LOVE my Swissgear Synergy. It holds my 15" MBP, 3 portable hard drives, headphones, cables, manuals, water bottles, etc.

I don't leave home without it.
