Keep or return klipsch promedia 2.1's?

so i just got the klipsch promedia 2.1's. before this i was using some logitech x540 5.1's which had decent output but terribly boomy and non responsive bass and slightly distorted mid/highs. i will be using the logitechs for just my tv, movies, and games.

i do make some music on the side. mainly dubstep/house etc..so i didnt want to spend a ton of money on studio speakers just yet. but i do want something with good sound quality and decent output.

iv only listened to my klipsch for about 10 mins thus far and they do sound great compared to my logitechs but im a little dissapointed in the mid range output, especially after reading that's where the klipsch shine. the bass is plenty for me so thats not an issue. its the mids im worried about.

also if it helps i had my ipod/macbook turned up about 3/4, the main volume on the promedias to about 2/3, and the sub to about 1/4.

i was afraid to push them any harder this early. i usually stay below 75% volume on every setting to avoid clipping. does this sound about right?

and meh sorry for the scatter brained rant. im a little stoned

edit: also would this sound card be ok for me? if not any recommendation? its between these 2 as of now. obv leaning towards the cakewalk

which one do you think would suite my needs best? i do have a 5.1 surround i may like to hook up as well, not sure if that would work.
