That's always been the price point. Seems Apple considers Snow a kind of a 64 bit Intel only beta...

But it's a solid beta. For me it's been better than 10.5, which was a bit euhmm... hairy.

Yeah, right? That's what I paid for the upgrade.

Keep in mind the $29 pack is only if you're upgrading from Leopard. If it's an earlier version they say you have to buy the Snow Leopard/Ilife/Iwork pack. I'm not sure if the software checks for what you have or not, but I thought I'd point that out.

For all I know, this has always been the price for the upgrade from Leopard. 29$/€ for Leopard upgraders and the bloddy Mac Box Set for everyone else.

The disk from the upgrade version is 100% identical to the full version. You don't need 10.5 on your disk to set SL up either.

I'm so sad it's intel only though, given that our trusty old dual G5's still are quite fast (actually) and usable. But OK, they're running 10.5 nicely anyway...
