Kontakt 4 crashes Pro Tools 8.0.4 when opening session

So I just installed Komplete 7 on my rig. Mac Pro 2 X 2.66 Dual-Core, 8GB RAM, PT 8.0.4 LE, 10.5.8. I have dedicated system, audio, and sample hard drives. When I attempt to open a session with more than 3 instances of Kontact 4, Pro tools crashes while activating inserts. I have tried everything I can think of--installed the latest updates, adjusted every buffer and core allocation option in both programs, trashed prefs/databases, repaired disk permissions, updated OSX from 10.5.7 to 10.5.8, updated PT from 8.0.1 to 8.0.4, tried Kontakt's memory server application, adjusted the "pre-load buffer," and uninstalled and re-installed Kontakt--no luck. When I have a session open, I can run 15+ instances with no problem. The session opens fine when I have Kontakt deactivated. NI support sent me an "optimizing Pro Tools" guide. Thanks for that. Can't duplicate this problem at work on an 8-core/HD 2. Any advice appreciated...
