Synthoma Elkorus V.2

If you've ever played an Arp String Ensemble, you know that they're all about the red chorus button, right of the keyboard. Amazing chorus effect, which immediately creates that '70's string sound. This guy back-engineered and improved it. Sounds amazing, IMHO.

I just contacted Sergio directly and ordered one. He is making a batch in April and requires a 100 euro deposit. He accepts PayPal.

Looking forward to straping this on my MKS70 and OBXa.

By the way, the demos here are much better.

That sounds nice! I'm guessing Big City Music and Analog Haven in the US might stock it.

Contacting Synthoma

I've tried e-mailing them through their website form and via [email protected]
I get an error message back every time saying "quota exceeded"...maybe some kind of issue with their web hosting? I live in the USA so calling Spain
is something I'd like to avoid.
Anywhoo, does anyone know of another way to get in contact with them? I want me an Elkorus baaad...

That's the email address, worked for me a while ago. I guess the mail box space has been exceeded. Call them, a minute or few don't cost much.
The current production batch is of 16 units, which have been reserved to people who paid 100 euros in advance. I'm not sure if it's still possible to buy one of them, but it's worth checking, maybe they can produce more.

It only does the ensemble chorus, in a couple of modes.

Just wanted to give a little praise to Sergio's unit.

Uh... Wait.... Let me rephrase.

Sergio's 19 inch....

Um.... OK.... Once more....

This chorus is wonderful. Three delay lines with level and pan plus an EQ switch. Lfo intensity and clip. Nice stuff. Super lush. Beautiful on my MKS-70 and OBXa. Built like a tank. Built by hand. And it can do a cool helicopter, as well!

I hope Sergio has some other goodies planned because this is a great first outing.

I don't believe Sergio has a US distributor, yet. He is a one-man operation. Contact him directly. It's worth it.....

we got one elkorus for our studio we got it yesterday.
what a machine!!! anything you pass trough it goes back to 1972. its really a time machine, we tried it in a yamaha cs 60, oberheim obx, rhodes, and we also used as a mixing effect on drums, congas guitars rhodes.
great, original, and unique sound.

thumbs up for synthoma guys.

BTW why is this in music computers forum?

I was close to order one of these a while back. I love this sound & it's great to have a unit that you can put anything through. Might have to look into this again at some

I have to bump this and say how fond I am of this chorus. It is a very solidly built unit with a wonderful, flexible character. As I stated before, I wish Sergio would come up with other units because his first outing is a winner. (No affiliations whatsoever.)

How are these on monophonic bass? Any longer term users care to share their experiences?
