Instant backup of folders with one key click

Write an applescript like this.
It accesses the shell (UNIX) to perform a very quick total copy of a folder.
Very useful, fast, simple and free
For those of you who didn't know, the ~ means your 'home' folder
The ditto command in UNIX is cool, and accessing stuff like that from Applescript is the easiest way to trigger these things off

activate
display dialog "Do backups?"
do shell script "ditto -rsrc ~/Documents/someFolder /Volumes/backups/someFolder"

you could make a list of folders if you like...
do shell script "ditto -rsrc ~/Documents/someFolder2 /Volumes/backups/someFolder2"
[and so on]
do shell script "ditto -rsrc ~/Documents/someFolder16 /Volumes/backups/someFolder16"
