Vienna Ensemble Pro & Spectrasonics?

I'm pretty familiar with the concept of VE Pro, and it seems ideal for hosting memory-intensive stuff like Omnisphere, Trilian, Stylus RMX, etc. in order to keep Logic lean & mean... However, I haven't seen the following questions addressed anywhere:

Would I lose the advantages of hosting those instruments inside Logic, namely drag-and-drop MIDI file support, host tempo sync and aux outs? Spectrasonics' stuff is so tightly integrated with its host and I'd hate to lose any of that...

I'm using VE Pro witjh Logic just to host Spectrasonics stuff, nothing else. Haven't tried the drag and drop myself yet, but someone on another board said it works fine.

Thanks, but can you specifically address the questions I raised about drag & drop support & host tempo sync? I'm curious how the plugins know the host tempo if they're not running inside the host DAW...

I would also love to hear from users and specifically about the drag and drop.
