The appropriate business model would be more like
Random Hall standard algorithm: 189 USD
Random Hall both algorithms: 199 USD
Random Hall HD upgrade from standard to HD: 25 USD

Do you want that?
I'm not trying anything. Just saying my thoughts.

Is $199 an introductory price or more or less the final price of the Lite version?

Will current purchasers of the Lite be able to use the RTAS version once it's finished, at no extra charge?

Will the Lite RTAS version cost more once it exists?

It will be $199 for the foreseeable future.

Sure.

There will not be an additional charge for RTAS... It will be the same price as AU and VST.

Hmm.. I typed $299 in my exchange rate applet instead of $199.. that's more like it.

It would have been nice to have some financial benefit (ie a discount when the 'real' version arrives) for being an early adopter.

I'm also wondering about X-Verb. Does the work on this mean that the SSL reverb has had no further development?

That's weird. You bought it for what it is - not for what it could be ? What do you expect?

Where can I find more info on this plugin (manual or even a website with info)? I don't really want to read through 56 pages of this thread.

I liked the idea of a NEW thread now that it is released (I guess even that is debatable) but that other thread was closed.

relab.dk is the still inactive official site. plugindiscounts.com is the exclusive seller. The plugin is an accurate emulation of the Lexicon 480L reverb algorithms, which also has additional "HD" versions of those algorithms which sound very much like the normal versions, but with a "smoother" and less "ringy" sound. There is also a selection of an "analog" mode that emulates the sound of the unit when using its A/D D/A instead of digital connection. That's it, pretty much.

Just tried it...

Oh sh*t, this thing sounds nice!

In the right hands (not mine), this is going to make some incredible sounding mixes.

My bad. Somehow i was thinking that i saw your name in Duende threads, talking about X-Verb. I probably switched something in my mind. But anyway. X-Verb is already mature product. I can't try it but quite a few people told me that X-Verb is more then just average reverb processor.

Okay, I'll repost my question here. I'm just not understanding this "demo" thing. Do you pay 200 bucks through your PayPal account first and THEN
get the demo license? What's up with that? I don't want to pay money to demo something, that is essentially purchasing it.

Website still "under construction" - hmmm.

Someone please clear up the "demo" question - please. Thanks.

No website for the Relab company itself - as far as I can tell - what's with
all this mystery?

Someone please clear up the "demo" question - please. Thanks.
There has never been a demo.... There has been a beta available for people to try.

The email that has been re-posted with paypal links was sent to the beta team. It was not meant to be sent to the general public.

It has not been posted for sale on the plugin discounts website yet... it will be by the end of next week.

If you want to try the BETA... email me.

If you want to buy it, you can use the link that people have re-posted.

In another thread, Steven Slate mentioned something about "iLok2" coming this Fall. Is that what you're waiting for, Martin / Tony?

I guess it's more a software revision, since the problems they're having.

a new hardware would be annoying, it would mean buying a new dongle...

OT anyway, we'll see...

congratulations for this release, Warp!

Twice bitten, quadruple Shy?

Maybe this addition to the title would have been better:

"Relab LX480 Lite (VST/AU) NOW RELEASED!"

Anyways, what algorithms are in the full version? (TIA)

No, you were correct in your X-verb assumption. I thought that you thought.. that I bought (sheesh) the LX480 is all.

X-verb was supposed to eventually have other algo's to choose from but with all the Duende bug squashing going on @ SSL that may not have happened. I was wondering if Martin had done any extra work on that plug-in out of interest only.
