This is why I think the Lexicon PCM plug will sell well despite all the emulations since each company will claim they absolutely nailed the 480! but the Lex plug are the actual algos from the PCM96 and 960.

No. They are NOT the distributor, and have nothing to do with this product.

This plugin does not use any DSP hardware.... It is the NATIVE plugin that Casey was speaking about in the following post:

Please read this carefully, this is NOT a Bricasti product, nor do I have anything to do with the company!

The information in the above quote is the only real information that has been leaked/ released about it...

Well if CSR is any indication I can pass on this one for sure. It was an alright plug but no where near any Lexicon.

XHipHop: if you like it better than some MPX series units, still doesn't mean CSR sounds close to any Lexicon . (at least I think that was the point..) As for CSR being any indication, well yes, it's left a very bad impression in me too, but as I understand there's been much progress, and if Casey says this absolutely nails the 480 sound, I'm definitely waiting to hear it.

As said.. if Casey says that it nails the 480 sound than it'll definitely be worth trying.

CSR has been out for a while... it could be a case where CPU power wasn't where it needed to be for a more accurate emulation.. or they've spent the time refining the algos.

Between the official Lexicon plugins, and now this (whatever it is!), it's looking like a great time for native reverbs.

I don't consider those things Lexicons. heh

True. I will of course demo it and judge for myself. But the same hype surrounded the release of CSR so I am skeptical.

Fair enough. But Lexicon DID make those algos and all lexicon products shouldn't be judged by them just like you shouldn't judge this product based on some of its other products.

Now i have to try CSR again and see if it's as bad as you guys are making it out to be lol.

Lexicon should sell plugin version of 480L with MIDI controller/hardware protection unit that exactly look like LARC.

I will buy it in a second.

My GAS for this plugin is so extreme that I had a dream about it last night. I think Im wrong in the head department. Anyways in my dream the plugin proved to be a let-down. The Lexicon PCM was far superior. However there was no direct ABX test in the dream-so I urge you - dont base your purchasing decisions on this information just yet, as this could be potentially an inaccurate assessment (plus in reality I have not heard either plugin)...

A lot of people say this but I can see an equal amount of complaints about why they need to pay for a LARC dongle.

For example I don't know anyone (not talking about everyone by the way) that's actually using the liquid mix controller, they all seem to just edit the plug-in, well maybe that just means the controller is not intuitive enough.

I can remember having daydreams about a 480 in my youth, when I couldn´t afford one.
All these new plugins kind of demystificate life dreams.
Not shure if this is a good or a bad thing...
and then I will need a new avatar
and nobody will take notice of me anymore
or can you imagine something less stupid than a hand on a tft screen ?

Damn - my yellow Larc allways made me think
I am someone !

Lexicon is to blame loosing self confidence aaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrghhhhh!!!

As I understood lexicon will release a new LARC as a separate addition to their native reverb / hardware line.
But what is gold worth if the bourgoisie has it as well ???
Maybe it´s time to buy an expensive car ....
