xp 64 or win 7

Hey, I have XP 64 installed with standard music software/sequencer/plugins
it works perfectly fine. But I have noticed that WIN 7 has just been released and I wanted to know what the true benefits would be to transfer from XP 64 to WIN 7 64 bit bearing in mind I have 8gig ram and quadcore.

Should I just stick with my current system or upgrade?

What are your computer specs? In general I think Win 7 is the way to go...
