recording full length...one big project or different projects for every song?

Hey guys this summer will be a step up for me.
I will record and mix 2 full length...

Logic 8 user:
I´m working on a macbook pro with intel dual 2.4 core and 4 gb ram.
I record all audio on an external eSATA Lacie hd connected via lacie xpress card.

The last ep´s and demo´s I´ve done where all recorded and mixed in one hugh project.
I never had trouble with that method, but the project were never bigger then 4-5 songs up to 3-5 minutes.

the full length´s are going to have up to 10-12 tracks with 3-7 minutes...

So I´m affraid that I can get in trouble with this big data!!!!

So what would you suggest?

Is there a realy "good" way to work with different projects, but with the same mixer setup?
I dont want to copy all aiff´s in another project or
have to copy all plugins and rebuild all groups and AUX.

Thanks for the time!!!!

i prefer to open each song in its own folder...
i used to do the whole session thing, but it got harder to mix after awhile...

sry i dont use logic, but in cubase...

I can save the setup as a project (named basicstart or something) and open it up to start every song, with all inputs routed and named already.. (make sure to save as the new title quickly)

I also occasionally save mixer setting, or track setting to open in the other songs for a lil bit of continuity throughout the album

What disjointed said. I only really like the one big project for when I'm doing a lot of basic tracking. Then I like to mix 3 - 4 songs together, if they're similar enough.
