Help with new drive & allocating space.

Hello...long time,

Im about to purchase a new harddrive @ 250gigs. I’m looking for advice on how to set things up to have my system run most efficiently. I currently have the system drive, the original this machine came with @ 10gigs, with OS9 and X installed. This particular drive is pretty full. I also have a small SCSI Glyph drive that stores my session files that is also pretty full. The newer drive, an OWC firewire, will allow me to remove many sessions from the Glyph for storage. I think it's a good idea to keep using the Glyph, my audio drive, for tracking.

So..a question. In addition to any other suggestions, would it be a good idea to put one of the OS's on the new OWC drive along with the old session backups to make some room for the OS's to run efficiently? And in this case, should it be partitioned?

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks

Thanks a lot.

I think Im gonna have to get a larger system drive. Another backup drive isnt a bad idea either, maybe a DVDR.(?)
