Volume envelopes in PTLE?

I am fairly new to Pro Tools and i'm wondering if you can insert volume/pan envelopes on the actual track like many other programs? Before i used Sonar, and they had that option. I found it very useful. I just figured Pro tools would have it too. Am i missing something? Does PT have it?

Yes, you can. In the edit window, click-hold on where it says "waveform" on the left side of the screen under the track name. a menu will pop up with options including volume, pan, and a couple others. once you've selected this, you'll see the volume (or pan) line on the screen, and you can then draw whatever automation you like.

I'd recommend reading the manual, it's a good way to start learning the capabilities of the program...
