Alternatives for Masterlist CD?

I just learned from Denial on the "Bomb Factory" thread that Digidesign has dropped Masterlist CD. I always wondered why I hadn't gotten a version upgrade in years!

After I raised the same question there, it occurred to me it might deserve it's own thread, so forgive the double post please.

Anyway, what are former Masterlist CD users (especially Mac/Pro Tools folks) using these days? How do you find the alternatives compare in features and quality to Masterlist CD (which was a little buggy, admittedly.)

If there's something a lot better out there, I'd like to know, especially since it looks like eventually I'll have to find something else whether I want to or not!

Go for waveburner... I love it... When I finish mixing a project, I can 'master' it (actually, I mainly jsut sequence it with crossfades and set the CD id's) on the plane trip back home.

I agree that WaveBurner Pro from Emagic/Apple is the way to go for now and by "now" I don't mean until some other company comes out with a better product but rather until Emagic decide to discontinue the product in the same way as Digidesign have done to MasterList.

No matter how you look at it, software is a gamble and you just might get better value pulling the handle in a slot machine at a casino.

So far Waveburner Pro seems to be the consensus. How does it compare in features to Masterlist CD. Would you describe it as a step up or a lateral move?

Can you adjust volumes, do crossfades, edit PQ codes etc.? (I know, I can probably find this all on a website somewhere... i just like talking to you guys better than wading through manufacturer's propaganda...)
