A/D converter question for home Digi users

I am deciding between the M-Box, Digi 001 and Digi 002. My question is how do you use an outboard A/D converter with these?

I know that M-box only lets you record on two channels at a time and you would come in through one of its digital in's.

My real question is can I use a Rosetta and some other A/D converter at the same time to record say four tracks at a time? Obviously this only applies to the Digi 001 and 002.

I understand that many posters like converters other than the Rosetta.

You can find a bunch of people using these setups in the DUC. Do some searches and you'll find countless threads on this topic.

On the 001, there are S/PDIF (2 channels) and litepipe (8 channels) i/o, so it's no problem, provided your outboard converters can handle those formats.
