Question Samplitude

1st post!
Just curious who here uses Samplitude...besides Atticus!heh Looking to put together a DAW for home-based semi-commercial use and saw that Samp is soon to release v.7. Also, how well does it interface with RME drivers? Hoping to replace Roland DAW soon.

Can't wait until you hit 7000 posts over here. heh Samplitude is indeed very cool for work on the PC. It has one of the best noise reduction plugins I've ever used and it seems to be a very cool program.

Thumbs up Samplitude

Hello guys,

I have been using Samplitude since 1995 (I think, my memory fades...). It is a very strong program for editing and mastering (I also use SEQUOIA), but I have been less happy with multitrack mixing which is why I also use LOGIC PLATINUM. The main reason for the multitrack debacle is the lack of ASIO drivers (will be coming in January) and some problems with VST plugins. Right now I am tracking in LOGIC, and editing and mastering in SEQUOIA. I have also used SEQUOIA (and SAMPLITUDE) for years as a direct-to-disc recorder for classical live recordings and have to say that it is an extremely STABLE program. I don't think it crashed ONCE (!) in the last seven years, at least not during a recording. I have never lost any data with this program, but you do have to understand PCs to make the best of it. Good luck.

Use Samplitude exclusively...huge program...somewhat hi learning curve, but well worth it...I am using RME/Nuendo 9652 lightpipe cards, as recommended by Samp's makers...

I have the demo version of 7, but haven't gotten to the VST etc stuff yet...I use it mostly as a recorder/editor...but the convoluted reverbs are among the best I've heard anywhere...

My opinion only
