Talking Test your hard drive's read/write/random access speed

I thought you guys might like this tool for testing your read/write/random access hard drive speeds.

DiskTT measures a disk's thruput under 32-bit windows using Windows core read and write functions. Your actual disk perfomance under Windows is determined not only by the speed of your harddrive (as measured well by most disk benchmarks) but also by factors such as the mainboard chipset, UDMA/PIO mode, RAID configuration, CPU speed, RAM size and the quality of drivers. DiskTT simply tries to give you an indication of the amount of Megabytes per second read and write speed you get under your normal Windows 9x/ME/NT/2000/XP environment.

My computer deals with only about 16 or 20 MB/s on it's drives! Random access times were only about 8 MB/s. Luckily I haven't had issues with recording or mixing. What are your speeds?

You mention 16-20Mbs. Is this read or write?
I use a RAID 3. My write times are slow- 10.3Mbs
read times- 508.4Mbs
Random Access-622.7mbs
Great read speed. The Parity write slows down write speeds.

I think this thread might be much more useful if we also post our hardware.
