How can I verify that Word clock output is functioning?

I'm suddenly having "digital grunge" issues after 2 years with no problems.

I'm thinking that perhaps the WC is out. I want to check if I'm getting WC output on my Mytek and then on the Genex. Am I thinking along the correct lines or is there something else I should be considering?

Mytek 8x96 ADC (master WC) > Lucid GENx6 distributor > other 8x96s/Hammerfall 9652 > Nuendo 2.2 > Mytek 8x96 DAC

With the tip of your tongue. See if you can feel a slight tickle...

...seriously...

On my converters I can see with a flashing LED or dark LED next to 'ext WC' that there is no WC coming in.

My RME MADI card software also shows what kind of WC is coming in.

If you measure wck out with a DC voltmeter, On Mytek you should see aprox 2.5V. If you see that the wck out is most likely ok. If you are still not sure- connect it to an oscilloscope to see square wave.

Wow... did I just imagine that or did someone just tell the guy to lick it?

That's awesome...

Yeah, with word clock you can just put your ear right next to the BNC and if it's working you should hear a "tick tick tick" coming out the hole
