Mac Pro and vsts

This may sound like a stupid question but if i purchase a mac pro am i able to use windows vst's within logic pro's sequencer?
Basically im jus trying to have the best of both worlds with no limits of vsts. If not can i run a windows laptop with stand alone vsts via midi or audi in through to logic pro?

Unless there are any tricks I don't know about, the answer is no. Only AUs work in Logic... But it is possible to sync two computers via midi and then run the outputs from the peecee into the inputs on the interface used with Logic. Then you can use the aux input channels.

Well, you might try to write a wrapper that also emulates Windows interface routines, etc. Just because there is the same ****ty CPU inside does not mean you can use the same software - especially for performative applications .....
If you have a Mac and Logic or DP you have the best of both worlds anyways - why care?

best

You can't use Windows VST's in Logic. With a wrapper that was mentioned in other post here you could use OS X VST plug ins in Logic but the best way is to use AU plug ins in Logic.

you can't run windows plugin on mac platform, even when they are vst, there are windows vsts and there are mac vsts.
if you want to run pc plugins together with mac, you need to connect both computers with midi and audio, or you can use midiOVERlan/ipMIDI for midi over network/ethernet, and wormHole from plasq for transfering audio over Ethernet. Also it's good to have some rack - host on windows for plugins, like art teknika console or brainspawn forte.

if you have possibility to connect directly hardware midi / audio, go that way, works much better

i was dealing with same thing few months ago when i bought macpro, but there's so much stuff in mac world, that i didn't need the pc yet
