How many channel strips can you run on a MB/MBP?

Just curious... (and that means I am asking about stuff I would be inetrested to buy sooner or later, hehehe): someone asked here about putting "console glue" to a mix, and there was talk about throwing a Waves SSL on each track.
Ok, so we have Waves SSL E-channel, we have Waves RenChannel, there is the Waves Combination API EQ+Comp / V-Series EQ+Comp, there is the URS CSP...

How many of these candidates can you actually run on a MacBook or MacBook Pro or any current Mac computer? Are these machines strong enough to have a channel strip on each channel of a 40-50 tracks, 10-12 busses mix???

I can tell you that on my q6600 Quad X/ Nuendo rig I could get over 150 SSL channel strips and still be only at 30% CPU.
