MCU channel order

I have a MCU and extender for Pro Tools LE, and I was wondering if anyone knows how to make the XT control channels 1-8, so that if the XT is on my left the first channel will be track 1, then the MCU channel 1 is figuratively channel 9. Does that make sense?

I swear in Nuendo I simply installed an extender as a second device, and the second device lines up to the LEFT of the master controller. I will double check this, but this seems to be how mine installed. I didn't even have to think about it, it seems to naturally install each device from RIGHT to LEFT.

That's what I was hoping for in PT.... I know Logic has preferences that you can set, or if you fire one up before the other it'll read that way, but I can't figure it out in PT.

As far as I understand it from the Mackie site, PT uses the HUI mode, and the MCU must be channels 1-8. They actually tell you to put the XT to the right.

I've found the answer to my own question, but I hope it helps someone else: In the "peripherals" setup menu I set the XT to be the first HUI, and I set the main MCU to be the second HUI. Bam! I have 16 channels in order, from left to right! I also have not encountered any problems with this setup, so it's so far so good.
