Smile Fav. Orchestral Plug for SONAR 6.2.1??!!!

Hey SONAR freaks.

I'll so a search, but I'm looking for everyone's favorite orchestral

plug-in software for SONAR 6.2.1

Please cast your vote here.

.....

I've been using Kontakt 2.2.3 w/Experience, and I LOVE the sounds,

but I'm frustrated by the instrumentation limitations, so far.

(track/ instrument / instance numbers).

I'm using my new quad core w/ 4 GB 667 DDR2 RAM and SONAR 6.2.1,

and I have to keep monkeying around with k2 to get it to work -

so far, the most I've been able to get working is 7 instruments total on 4 instances of k2.

(which is practically useless for a real orchestral score).

I'm also frustrated by the fact that NI tech support takes SOOOOO

long to respond (usually @ a week - wtf??). the moderators are fairly present on their forum,

but I still only get a few posts per day, which is not nearly enough,

considering the time difference.

anyhow, let's hear it!!!!

thanks, in advance, guys, as always....

Smile Temporary workaround in K2!!

ok.

i have found a temporary workaround in K2.

i believe my problem was i had way too many tracks loaded in SONAR -

especially rapture, dimension pro and kontakt 2 tracks loaded,
(in addition to 70 tracks of audio, more synths, and tons of effects, etc.)

and this was flipping SONAR 6.2.1 out, and giving me the insufficient memory dialogs.

and so, starting all over again in a fresh sequence,

and using only ONE instance of K2, which is somewhat limiting
(but reasonably acceptable for now),

i've loaded 16 instruments of the VSL Experience Orchestra,
along with 6 actual instances of Rapture w/ Biolabs samples.

so far, all is well.

i'll keep experimenting - with k2 in stand alone mode, as well.

but for now, i'm working - which i'm VERY HAPPY about.

sorry for all the whining..

cheers

Lives for gear
My favorite is East/West Gold Orchestra. It comes with a Kontakt player, and you can run about 6 channels at the same time (6 MIDI tracks playing out of 6 separate audio tracks). Be sure your sample drive is defragmented, and even with 4G of RAM it might push your drive usage up quite a bit.
