Slate SSD5 Free - Bundled Grooves Are Playing Over The Top Of My Programmed Patterns

Hi all,

Long time BFD user here (since version 1).

I thought I'd check out the free version of Slate SSD5.

I'm having an issue where the inbuilt grooves are playing over the top of my programmed patterns.
So, if I program a simple kick, snare, and hat groove on a midi track in Cubase, when I hit the playback button (in Cubase, not the playback button in the Slate GUI), I hear other patterns playing over the top which include cymbals, toms, etc.

In BFD3, there is an option to turn off the grooves that are bundled with the program, but I can't find any option in SSD.

I've read the manual, and searched on Google, to no avail.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm using Cubase 10.5 Pro, on a Win10 machine.

Cheers!

Go into the “Grooves” tab and deselect “Follow Host.”

Hey DHL,

Thanks so much for the reply. After restarting my system several times, the issue went away without me having to do anything.

Cheers!
